2018 Christmas Baskets - By: Board of Outreach
The Board of Outreach would like to say a big THANK YOU! to everyone who gave time, money, and/or food for this year's Christmas baskets! 41 community families were served with approximately 550 food items donated and many more items purchased with donated funds. 21 folks volunteered to assemble and distribute the baskets.
These 41 families represent 204 people that were blessed: 132 adults and 72 children! BELC...you rock!
Because children are on winter break, we provided extras in the baskets this year. Candy canes, peanut butter, jam and laundry detergent are a few of the extra items. Bethlehem's Sunday School children did their part, as well, by donating pancake mix and syrup for the baskets. What a great idea! The F.A.B. knitters (Fiber Artists of Bethlehem) made beautiful gift packets of dish cloths and "scrubbies".
